Quitting Smoking Reduces Risk Of Lung Cancer Mortality By 70 Percent

New research provides another good reason for smokers to quit. If you don't already smoke, don't start. If you just hang around a smoker, stop doing so. There is no safe level of exposure to second-hand smoke. Remember, cancer isn't the only disease you risk getting from second-hand smoke.

And sadly, about a third of American children age 18 or younger live with an adult smoker and are at increased risk for respiratory and other health problems.
